Anne E. Larson Addresses CEO Roundtable

Anne E. Larson, Chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group, spoke for 90 minutes to a group of approximately 15 attendees during the October CEO Roundtable, a monthly program of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB) hosted by Much Shelist. Her topic, “How to Handle Challenging H/R Issues, Legally and Effectively,” included a discussion of sexual harassment prevention and effective remediation of internal complaints, EEOC trends regarding harassment class action lawsuits, e-discovery and document retention policies, termination dos and don’ts, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation issues, frequent Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations, and developments regarding the Department of Homeland Security's new regulations on employee Social Security "No Match" letters.

About the CEO Roundtable
Alexander "Sandy" Weissent, a GSB graduate and former CEO, created the CEO Roundtable in 1991 at the request of the Dean of the GSB. The enduring mission for this roundtable is "to enhance the continuing value of a Chicago MBA by meeting the current needs and wants of GSB alumni/members in C-level positions." The group includes approximately 60 members, all of whom are past or present business owners, or hold chairman, CEO, COO, CFO, CIO and other executive-level positions within both public and private companies. Their organizations range in size from approximately $2 million to $2 billion in annual revenues and represent most industry groups. For more information on the CEO Roundtable, click here.
