James M. Kunick Joins Much Shelist
Attorney Adds Depth to Firm's Intellectual Property Practice
CHICAGO – October 1, 2008 – Chicago-based law firm Much Shelist announced the addition of James M. Kunick as a Principal in the Intellectual Property practice group. Kunick was most recently a Partner with McCracken & Frank LLP, an IP boutique in Chicago. He also served for many years as Counsel in the Business Technology Sourcing practice at Mayer Brown, including several years at that firm's office in Frankfurt, Germany. Before attending law school, he worked as an IT consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in Milwaukee.
Kunick has nearly two decades of experience representing regional and multinational clients in a broad range of technology and corporate matters, with a focus on information technology and intellectual property licensing and outsourcing transactions. In recognition of his experience and proficiency in licensing and the commercialization of intellectual property, Kunick earned the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP™) designation from the Licensing Executives Society, the leading organization dedicated to higher standards of practice in the licensing industry worldwide.

Kunick holds a J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
