Colleen E. McManus is an experienced bankruptcy attorney and litigator. A member of the firm's Financial Crisis Response Team, she regularly represents lenders, creditors, creditors' committees, trustees and debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, as well as in out-of-court insolvencies. Colleen has particular experience advising lenders, franchisors, developers, mechanics lienholders and landlords inside and outside of bankruptcy.
More recently, Colleen also has developed substantial appellate experience and has argued in front of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Her commercial litigation experience includes bench trials, summary judgment briefings, contested hearings, depositions and mediation.
IN THE PROFESSION
Colleen has contributed to a range of bankruptcy-related legal and industry journals. Before joining Much Shelist, she was named National Senior Associate (2006) by her previous firm for her achievements in providing pro bono legal services.
