AT WORK
Jeanna M. Palmer counsels clients on a range of business and commercial issues, with an emphasis on transactional and regulatory matters for health care providers and general corporate services. Jeanna provides guidance regarding anti-kickback and self-referral laws and regulations, as well as general health care compliance and administrative issues. In addition, she has experience in the areas of physician privileging, gainsharing programs and the review of medical staff bylaws. Jeanna also handles a variety of general corporate matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts and other transaction documents.
IN THE PROFESSION
While in law school, Jeanna was Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Health Law and a finalist in the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She has served as a Law Clerk in the Consumer Protection Division of the Healthcare Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, and as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Ronald A. Guzman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
IN THE COMMUNITY
As part of an AmeriCorps-sponsored program, Jeanna served as a Victim Advocate for TESSA. In that role, she focused on domestic violence matters, helping clients obtain restraining orders and providing court support, crisis intervention and referrals.
