AT WORK
Jonathan D. Sherman is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Real Estate practice groups. Drawing on more than two decades of litigation experience, Jon expanded his focus in recent years to encompass a broad range of commercial real estate matters for developers, owners, landlords, brokers and lenders. This diverse background allows him to assist clients throughout the lifecycle of a transaction, including dispute resolution if necessary.
Jon’s clients benefit from his strong background as a trial attorney, which enables him to analyze real estate transactions, contracts, leases and other agreements with an eye toward minimizing risk and avoiding potential disputes. Conversely, he is able to approach disputes with a clear understanding of his clients’ business goals and a sharp focus on cost-effective resolution.
Jon has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the United States at the trial and appellate court levels, and in numerous arbitrations, mediations and administrative hearings. He has effectively represented clients in a broad range of matters involving contract and fraud claims, partnership disputes, trade secrets, professional liability, fair housing and employment law. He obtained significant victories in such diverse matters as a wrongful termination claim brought on behalf of a senior executive of a Fortune 100 company, and the defense of sexual harassment claims filed against several high-profile employers.
