AT WORK
Jonathan M. Ruby, an Associate in the firm’s Real Estate practice group, counsels individuals and businesses on a wide range of issues involving the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of real property. He has advised clients with both domestic and international real estate holdings, representing them with regard to various property types, including industrial, shopping center, residential, office and vacant land.
Jonathan has served as an advisor in numerous real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of individual properties and portfolio purchases and sales throughout the United States; the negotiation and drafting of leasing and property management agreements for residential complexes and local and regional shopping centers; and the drafting of leases and subleases for industrial, office and retail properties. Jonathan has also assisted clients in preparing and negotiating agreements with general contractors, subcontractors, architects and service providers (e.g. television and Internet services), and in negotiating joint ventures.
IN THE PROFESSION
While in law school, Jonathan was a recipient of the Northwestern University School of Law Merit Scholarship and served on the Student Admissions Committee. In medical school, he was a member of the Curriculum Committee.
