AT WORK
Konica Mitra concentrates her practice in commercial and real estate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. She advises clients in various commercial finance matters, including a wide variety of loan facilities, and represents lenders in loan workouts, such as restructuring credit facilities and forbearance agreements. Konica also advises clients with respect to SEC compliance, financial reporting and real estate-related documentation, including property management contracts and commercial leasing agreements.
While in law school, Konica completed an internship in the New Delhi office of an Indian law firm. She has also worked in the options-trading operations of a member firm of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
IN THE PROFESSION
At the University of Chicago Law School, Konica was a member of the South Asian Law Student Association.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Konica is has volunteered at various Chicago animal shelters, including PAWS Chicago and the Anti-Cruelty Society. While in law school, she served with the “Street Law” program as a volunteer law teacher for inner-city high school students.
