AT WORK
Mark S. Litner has substantial experience in handling a broad range of commercial, industrial and residential real estate transactions. He assists clients in purchasing, selling, developing, financing and leasing real estate; completing tax-free exchanges of real estate; resolving landlord/tenant disputes; structuring financing arrangements; and handling loan workouts. Mark also counsels clients on compliance with environmental regulations affecting real estate and acts as an adviser to condominium associations.
IN THE PROFESSION
Mark is a member of the Chicago Bar Association (Real Property Law Committee and Real Property Finance Subcommittee) and the American Bar Association. He has been recognized by the Leading Lawyers Network as a top Illinois lawyer in the areas of commercial real estate and real estate finance (2005-2008), and has been designated an Illinois Super Lawyer (2006-2008), an honor given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state.
Mark regularly teaches courses on purchasing, selling and refinancing residential real estate as part of New Trier Extension's continuing education program.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Mark serves on the advisory board of the Northwestern University JD/MM program.
