AT WORK
Michael R. Wolfe has enjoyed a successful legal practice for nearly 35 years, serving clients in all areas of real estate transactions and finance, including developments, purchases, sales, exchanges and leases. He concentrates his practice on the representation of commercial, residential and shopping center developers, and the representation of financial institutions in real estate-related loan transactions.
IN THE PROFESSION
Drawing on his deep experience in real estate law, Michael has been a presenter at legal and industry seminars, where he speaks in the area of mechanics liens matters. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, and is a former Chair of the Mechanics Lien Subcommittee of the CBA. In 2007, Michael was designated an Illinois Super Lawyer, an honor given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state. He has also been recognized by the Leading Lawyers Network as a top Illinois lawyer in the areas of commercial real estate and real estate finance (2007-2010).
Prior to joining Much Shelist, Michael served for many years as head of the real estate department at a Chicago-based law firm.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Michael serves on the Executive Committee of Four Stars of Chicago, which produces an annual fundraising event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
