Caroline E. Belloff
AT WORK
Caroline E. Belloff has represented clients and worked on cases involving commercial and corporate matters, including misappropriation of trade secrets, mortgage foreclosures and landlord/tenant disputes, as well as environmental regulatory compliance, liability and cleanup cost recovery. On behalf of clients involved in business and legal disputes, Caroline has drafted and analyzed litigation documentation, motions and petitions, and has prepared individuals for court appearances and depositions.
IN THE PROFESSION
Caroline was an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, where she taught legal writing and analysis. While in law school, Caroline was Associate Editor of the Elder Law Journal and led the Prisoners’ Rights and Research Project as Co-President. She has served as a volunteer attorney for the City of Chicago Department of Law and as a student attorney in the University of Illinois Law Clinics, including the Civil Litigation Clinic, the Family Advocacy Clinic, and the Human Rights Law Clinic. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey Ford and as a legal extern for the Champaign County Public Defender’s Office, both in Urbana, Illinois.
