An experienced transactional attorney with a primary focus on real estate, Harold S. Dembo serves as Co-Chair of the Real Estate group. His practice emphasizes the representation of lenders, builders, entrepreneurs, investors and other parties engaged in the development and management of a wide range of industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects.

Harold represents institutional lenders in virtually all aspects of commercial real estate and corporate loan transactions. On behalf of property managers, owners and tenants, he negotiates a range of leases and provides counsel with respect to the acquisition, development and financing of real estate projects. He is experienced in negotiating workouts in loan transactions for lender and borrower clients, and is a member of the firm's Financial Crisis Response Team. A certified public accountant, he also advises clients on a range of legal and business issues.

IN THE PROFESSION

Harold is a member of the American, Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations. He has also been recognized by the Leading Lawyers Network as a top Illinois lawyer in the areas of commercial real estate and closely and privately held business law (2007-2012). Harold's recent speaking engagements include the following:
