Kevin M. Noonan

AT WORK
Kevin M. Noonan counsels individuals and families with respect to estate and gift planning, estate and trust administration, business succession issues and asset protection. Drawing on his training as an accountant, he provides guidance on the use of wills, trusts, life insurance and business entities to help clients preserve, protect and transfer assets in a manner that helps achieve short- and long-term objectives.
Kevin also counsels individuals and families with respect to charitable giving strategies and philanthropy, helping them to design and implement tax-efficient charitable giving techniques and to identify, formulate and enforce their charitable objectives. Additionally, Kevin represents and advises tax-exempt organizations, including private foundations and public charities, on matters pertaining to formation, administration and governance.
IN THE PROFESSION
Kevin is an active member of the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section) and the Chicago Bar Association (Federal Taxation, Estate and Gift Taxation, and Trust Law committees). He is also a member of the Chicago Community Trust Young Professionals Advisory Committee. Kevin has been designated an Illinois Super Lawyer (2006-2008), an honor given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state. He speaks regularly before legal and industry groups on a range of topics related to strategic wealth planning, including recent presentations to the Trust Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association on the subject of special needs trusts and to the Chicago Council on Planned Giving on the subject of charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts.
While in law school, Kevin served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 1999).
IN THE COMMUNITY
Kevin serves as co-chair of the Planned Giving Subcommittee of the American Cancer Society (Illinois Division).
