Much Shelist Welcomes Intellectual Property & Technology Principal Jason Wejnert
Much Shelist is pleased to welcome Jason M. Wejnert as a principal in the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology practice group.
Wejnert focuses his practice on patent litigation for industry-leading clients, managing all aspects of patent litigation cases from inception through trial, as well as ex parte and inter partes reexamination and review proceedings. Drawing on his prior experience as an engineer for several technology companies, including Intel, Motorola and Medtronic, Wejnert helps clients facilitate innovation and protect ideas, from origination through the registration, licensing, and enforcement of related patents and trademarks. He also helps companies navigate intellectual property issues for Internet and wireless technologies, ecommerce software, optical systems, computer software and hardware, photonics, database systems and other complex technologies.

Wejnert joins Much Shelist from Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property group. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Supreme Court of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Wejnert is a member of the American and Chicago Bar Associations, the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) and Mensa International.
As a legal advocate at Holy Spirit Catholic Community in Naperville, Illinois, Wejnert provides legal advice and counseling regarding child custody and other family law issues. He also volunteers with the Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing, representing tenants in eviction and rent-dispute actions as part of the Attorney of the Day Eviction Defense Program.
Wejnert holds a B.S. from Cornell University, an M.S. from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
