Product Liability Litigation

The attorneys of Much Shelist have developed considerable experience handling and managing a range of product liability matters, from isolated, single cases to large-scale, nationwide matters involving hundreds of plaintiffs and courts at every level. Our attorneys are familiar with products and technologies as diverse as agricultural and food products, asbestos, chemicals, heavy equipment, household goods, natural resources, transportation equipment and more.

We regularly work with clients throughout the product development and marketing lifecycle. Our attorneys work with manufacturers and other companies to ensure compliance with Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other agency regulations, including warnings, labeling and responses to Consumer Product Safety Commission complaints and warnings. We are familiar with federal and state laws from across the country as they apply to product liability matters.

Our attorneys have represented both defendants and plaintiffs in jury and bench trials and before the Consumer Product Safety Commission; as such, we understand the issues and concerns of parties on all sides, and also know how to work with representatives of insurance companies and other parties to come to swift and effective resolution of disputes.

Consistent with our commitment to helping clients prevent problems before they occur, we conduct liability audits and reviews to identify and control potential weaknesses in production, manufacturing and quality control procedures; purchase and sales literature product inserts and information bulletins; and distribution, recordkeeping and claims procedures. Where advisable, we can also assist with the development of accident and mass tort contingency plans as well as media and public relations control.
