In an interview for Law.com's Mid-Market Report, Co-Chairman Mitchell Roth discussed whether geographic expansion is a viable strategy for midsize law firms. He noted that in most cases, opening a new office only makes sense if you are merging with another firm already established in that market or if an existing client promises a significant amount of additional work if you expand to a certain area.
