Much Shelist Welcomes Labor & Employment Principal Camille Khodadad

Much Shelist is thrilled to welcome Camille N. Khodadad, an experienced litigator and advisor in the areas of employment and aviation law, as a principal in the firm's Labor & Employment practice group.

Khodadad focuses her practice on the prevention and resolution of labor, employment, and commercial disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States. She counsels clients on a broad range of employment issues, including documentation and discipline, hiring and firing, policies and procedures, employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenants, wage and hour compliance, workplace investigations, and leaves of absence. Khodadad has extensive knowledge of the laws that impact the employer-employee relationship, including anti-discrimination laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She regularly represents clients before the Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Human Rights Commission, Illinois Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Civil Rights, and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Khodadad also has significant experience defending national and international aviation clients in a wide range of matters, including product liability claims, and provides industry-focused advice on risk management and loss prevention. She counsels corporate aviation departments and aviation operators on emergency response planning, and advises clients during related investigations by the Federal Aviation Administration and/or National Transportation Safety Board. Inspired by her work with aviation professionals, Khodadad is in the process of obtaining her private pilot’s license.

“We are thrilled to welcome Camille to Much Shelist. She has tremendous experience in all aspects of employment law, and her extensive knowledge and practical approach to problem-solving and risk management make her an ideal fit for our multifaceted Labor & Employment practice," said Sheryl Jaffee Halpern, chair of the Labor & Employment group at Much Shelist. “Camille enhances our existing team and is continuing our firm’s tradition of delivering high-quality service and exceptional results.”

Before joining Much Shelist, Khodadad was chair of the Employment Law practice at Hall Prangle & Schoonveld and a partner in the firm's Aviation Law group. She is an advisor to the Autism Higher Education Foundation and frequent speaker on issues related to diversity and the empowerment of women. She also pens a monthly column for Chicago Lawyer magazine called Women@Work. Khodadad holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
