Much Shelist Adds Three New Attorneys
Two Special Counsel and One Associate Expand Firm's Full-Service Capabilities in Key Practice Areas
Chicago-based law firm Much Shelist recently announced the addition of David L. Rieser as Special Counsel in the Real Estate practice group, Tracy Kocourek as Special Counsel in the Intellectual Property & Technology practice group and Christopher L. Nybo as an Associate in the Labor & Employment practice group.
David Rieser counsels clients in matters involving environmental law. He has significant experience in legislative, regulatory, compliance and law enforcement matters, as well as corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. He regularly advises Fortune 100s, midsize companies, trade associations and industry groups. Rieser's clients represent a wide array of industries, including power generation, chemicals, petroleum, steel, railways, food and consumer products, financial services, waste management and insurance. He holds a J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law and an A.B. from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Much Shelist, Rieser was a Partner at McGuire Woods in Chicago.
Tracy Kocourek focuses on intellectual property and technology law and represents clients in a broad range of related transactional matters. She has significant experience in drafting and negotiating global technology contracts with Fortune 500 corporations, including agreements for professional services, outsourcing, systems integration, software licensing and software as a service, among others. Kocourek holds a J.D. degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Before joining Much Shelist, she served as Senior Legal Counsel and the North America Legal Lead for Accenture Software in Chicago.
Christopher Nybo represents clients in a wide array of employment issues and disputes. He counsels employers on matters pertaining to wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment and wage and hour claims. Nybo regularly represents clients before federal and state courts, as well as state and local administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Nybo holds a J.D. degree from the University of Chicago School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. Before joining Much Shelist, he was an Associate at Vedder Price in Chicago. He currently serves as Illinois State Representative for the 41st District in the western suburbs of Chicago.
